The exciting extended contest where the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Blue Jays by one run averaged a combined over 50 million watchers in the United States, Canadian, and Japan markets. MLB announced this represents the highest-rated World Series Game 7 after the 1991 showdown between the Minnesota Twins and Braves.

The Saturday memorable contest secured over 27 million viewers on Fox Sports channels, its Spanish-language channel and their streaming platforms. Per ratings data, it was the second most-watched broadcast of the previous week.

It additionally stands as the most-watched World Series game since the 2017 edition Game 7 between the Dodgers and Astros, which drew 29.07 million. This represents a 16% increase compared to the last Game 7 featuring the Nationals and Houston Astros, which drew 23.19M.

In the weekly rankings, the sixth game placed fourth, Game 4 ranked 7th, Game 5 was eighth, and the third game landed in thirteenth place.

In Japan, where the final contest started at 9 PM in the local time zone, it averaged 12 million viewers. This came after the previous Friday’s sixth game – in which World Series Most Valuable Player Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed one run in six innings – averaged over 13 million spectators, making it the highest-rated Fall Classic game on a single network in Japan.

Overall Totals and Patterns
